The best sessions are the unhurried ones. A little prep clears your head so we can focus on the part that matters: you, relaxed, looking like yourself. Here is everything worth doing before you arrive.
The week before
A few small things in the days ahead set you up to feel easy in front of the camera.
- Confirm your date and time, and note where to park
- Drink plenty of water and aim for a good night of sleep
- Hold off on a brand-new haircut; a trim about a week out is perfect
- Start pulling together a few outfit options
What to wear
Bring two or three tops you feel genuinely good in. We will help you choose on the day.
- Solid, rich colors photograph more cleanly than busy patterns or logos
- Fitted, not tight; bring a layer like a blazer or cardigan for range
- Choose necklines that feel like you
- Dress like yourself, just a little elevated
Hair, skin, and grooming
Keep your routine close to normal so you still look like you.
- Moisturize, and bring blotting papers if your skin runs shiny
- Light makeup reads well on camera, or add our makeup option for a polished finish
- If you shave, do it the morning of; if you keep a beard, tidy the edges
What to bring
- Your outfit options on hangers so nothing arrives wrinkled
- Any props or brand pieces that tell your story
- A friend, if having someone along helps you relax
The day of
Come a few minutes early, eat something so your energy is steady, and then leave the rest to us. We take our time, and we will not stop until you have shots you love. Whatever you look like today is exactly enough; our whole job is to help you see it.
